- No double-dipping — ever. A fresh spatula or applicator is used for every single stroke. The spatula that touched your skin is never returned to the wax pot.

Q: How long does hair need to be for waxing?
At least 1/4 inch (6mm) — approximately 2 weeks of growth after shaving. If hair is too short, wax cannot grip it. If you are unsure, skip shaving for 2 weeks before your appointment. For threading, hair can be shorter — even very fine facial hair can be threaded.
Q: Can I wax if I’m on Accutane or retinoids?
No — do not wax your face if you are using isotretinoin (Accutane) or prescription retinoids. These thin the skin barrier and wax can lift the skin surface, causing raw patches and scarring. Threading is safe for retinoid users — the thread only contacts the hair, not the skin.
Q: How long between wax appointments?
Face: every 3–4 weeks. Underarms: every 3–4 weeks. Brazilian: every 4–5 weeks. Full legs: every 5–6 weeks. Do not shave between waxing appointments — shaving changes the root angle and makes the next wax less effective and more painful.
Q: What is Nufree and should I choose it?
Nufree is a botanical, antibacterial hair removal formula — not technically a wax. It does not shrink-wrap the follicle like traditional wax, is gentler on sensitive skin, and is never double-dipped. Available for underarms ($20 vs $18 regular) and Brazilian ($55 vs $45 regular). Recommended for sensitive skin or anyone concerned about hygiene.
